Acro Media Inc., a Kelowna-based media design firm, announced today that it was nominated for the 1999 British Columbia Export Excellency Awards. The annual awards, founded in 1983, recognize successful exporters across numerous industries, as well as companies that have enhanced the position of British Columbia in foreign markets.
Acro Media was one of only 46 companies across the province, and one of only 4 companies within the Okanagan Valley, nominated for these awards. According to the BC Trade and Investment Office, there are more than 2,000 exporting companies in British Columbia.
"This is an unexpected honour for us," said Shane Spraggs, Technical Director and co-founder of Acro Media Inc. "It is great to be recognized for our efforts in BC and beyond. One of the great advantages of developing media across the internet is that we can deal with clients across the planet just as easily as across the street."
