Acro Media wins Innovation and Technology Award

Acro Media Inc. announced today that it was named winner of the Innovation and Technology prize at the third annual EDDY Awards, held in April in Kelowna, British Columbia. This is the second time in three years that the firm has won at the EDDY Awards.
The EDDY awards, established to recognize excellence in youth entrepreneurship, are open to entrepreneurs aged 29 or younger who reside and operate a business in the South/Central region of British Columbia.
As winner of the Innovation and Technology award, Acro Media was recognized by the judging committee for pioneering processes and systems that enable the firm to work as easily with international organizations as local ones. Acro Media was also lauded for its role in branding and building the online presences for several Okanagan companies, as well as weathering the dot-com implosion that claimed many interactive design firms.
Acro Media's previous EDDY win was in 2000 for the Entrepreneurship and Technology category. The firm was also a finalist in the Innovation Category for 2000. Acro Media did not participate in the 2001 EDDY Awards.
