Acro Media Declared Winner of 2007 Business Excellence Award Competition
We are greatly honored - and filled to bursting with pride - to be declared the winner of this year's Business Excellence Award in the 21-40 employee category. The awards recognize superior business achievement in our community of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, as defined by company growth and development, customer and community service and employee relations. Business Excellence Award CEO Shae Inglis contains his leaping heart while accepting the Business Excellence Award on behalf of Acro Media.   • Employability self-assessment tool for the Immigrant Skilled Trades Employment Program (ISTEP), a pilot project to help landed immigrants build construction industry careers and to provide employers with skilled trades' workers, in British Columbia, Canada.
  • Implementation of an elegant, dynamic ecommerce site for Acca Kappa, purveyors of elegantly designed, high-end grooming products. Established near Venice, Italy, in 1869, and now run by the great-great grandfather of the original founder, Acca Kappa soon became the official brush supplier to Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Family. Today, the company is the largest manufacturer of quality brushes in Italy, with stores around the world.
  • A new site design for INetU (pronounced I Net You), an enterprise managed hosting company that specializes in the design, build and management of dedicated server solutions and complex hosting configurations for clients around the world.
  • Custom ecommerce site for ThomasFX Group, a leading supplier of artificial snow effects, snow products, production supplies, pyrotechnics, custom breakaway glass, and mechanical effects and rental equipment to the movie, theatrical, special events, and themed attractions industries.
  • A 'sticky' community-based site for gamers at www.gameculture.com featuring blogs, a forum, videos and reams of fresh, relevant content.
  • A logo polish and Web site redesign for family-owned Sunshine Landscaping, comprised of ten hard-working brothers and a fast-growing network of franchises.
Product Focus - Drupal Content Management System
drupal Not a techie? Drupal (pronounced 'drew-pal') is a full-featured CMS suite that allows an individual - or community of users - to easily organize, publish and manage a great variety of content on a Web site. It is open source software (therefore not requiring licensing fee) that publishes to a variety of standard Web formats (e.g. HTML).
