There are two parts to software applications: the frontend which is comprised of the tools that display database information on the pages of a Web site, and the backend which includes the password protected tools for the Web site administrators to manage the information contained in the database.
Both the frontend and backend applications are built to the exact specifications determined in the planning phase of the project. The building of the backend usually takes place first, in parallel with the development of the visual concepts.
Following the completion of a preliminary version of the software, we combine the frontend and backend applications and install them on a development server to enable us—and you—to interact with the complete application in a live environment. We test the Web site’s formatting and functionality under real-world conditions, within multiple browsers and platforms. We document any issues and then resolve them to ensure that every aspect is error-free prior to delivery.
